wrap me up
in this earth;
it's cold here.

close these observers' globes
slowly but
fully.

rite me deeper
down, never to
walk this pale dot
in this skin.


ii.
you say my name
and it's honey cascading.

lapping up
splatters of
nectar,
hectares of eden.

don't stutter.


iii.
clothes on the pyre,
i'm lit.

lyreforms fitting my
bodice, i'm modest as
bald-faced grins.

caught wind
and began to
be drunk.


iv.
shovel thunks
clutter the airwaves,
grave notes aching
the spaces between
us.

maybe it's genius,
the falling,
but it is certainly
heinous,
the crash.


v.
rapt me up
in the sure
gold of running after,
you sang.

asked for
the plot to be
filled.

grabbed by the trunk
and carved neatly within:

never shut
your bright orbits
again.
and double for
the ones that
you do
